The F1 Live Timing may vary from Free Practice, Qualifying or Race we will explain all below.

The image above is from Live Timings from the 2025 Abu Dhabi Race.

Diff Column

- Displays positions gained of lost from the position on the Starting Grid on the Race Start.

Last Lap Column

- Last Lap column is the time for the last lap completed by the driver.

- It could be with Green background (like the one of Hadjar) which means that is his personal best time so far.

- In case it is with Purple background it means it is the best time of all drivers so far.

Best Lap Column

- This column displays the fastest lap a driver has achieved since the beginning of the race. If it has Purple background then that is also the fastest lap of the race from all Drivers.

Interval Column

- Interval shows what is the gap to the driver ahead. If it is with light green background it means the driver is slowly catching up to the car ahead, if it is darker green color it means the driver is very close and catching (less then 1 second to the car ahead)

Gap Column

- Gap column is similar to the Interval but it shows each driver Gap to the leading driver.

Sector 1, Sector 2 and Sector 3 Columns

- These columns display the time in each of the 3 sectors in the current lap

- If they are Yellow it means the driver has had faster sector times

- If they are green it means this is the personal best time for that driver in that particular sector.

- If they are purple it means that is the fastest time in the sector anyone has achieved on track.

Tyre History Column

- This column shows each stint of the driver, how many laps he has done on the particular set of tyres and were the tyres new or used.

For Example, in the image above Leclerc first did 16 laps on New Medium tyres, then 23 Laps on New Hard Tyres and currently is driving 5 laps on Used Medium Tyres (the diagonal dash means the tyres are not new)

Laps Column

- The Laps column shows how many laps has a driver done so far in the race.

During F1 Qualifying and Free Practice session you might see the above version of the Live Timings and the only difference here are the minisector bars.

Each of the 3 sectors is divided on multiple minisectors, some might have 10 others 7-8 - it is different for each track and each sector.

What do colors of minisectors mean?

BLUE - Driver is entering or exiting pits (only first minisectors on Sector 1 and last minisectors on Sector 3 can be blue)

YELLOW - The driver is not improving in that minisector (he has driven faster there in a previous lap)

GREEN - This is drivers personal fastest minisector.

PURPLE - This is the fastest minisector from all drivers on the grid

RED - Driver has stopped on track or crashed
