📅 Thursday, June 5 | 🕐 13:30 local / 11:30 UTC
Charles Leclerc topped a disrupted opening practice session with a best lap of 1:13.978, leading Ferrari team mate Lewis Hamilton by 0.226 seconds. Max Verstappen was third for Red Bull, with Kimi Antonelli and George Russell completing the top five for Mercedes. Two red flag stoppages interrupted the session — the first caused by Isack Hadjar's crash at the Swimming Pool chicane, the second by debris from Fernando Alonso's front wing. 🔴 FP2 – Free Practice 2
📅 Thursday, June 5 | 🕐 17:00 local / 15:00 UTC
Ferrari made it a clean sweep of Friday practice in Monaco as Lewis Hamilton topped FP2 with a best lap of 1:13.026, leading team mate Charles Leclerc by 0.111 seconds. Max Verstappen was third for Red Bull, just 0.168s off the pace, with the Mercedes pair of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli completing the top five.
It was a session of contrasting fortunes for the front runners — Lando Norris ground to a halt at the Nouvelle Chicane, bringing out the Virtual Safety Car and leaving McLaren on the back foot ahead of their 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend. At the other end of the pitlane, Isack Hadjar returned in his repaired Red Bull after his FP1 crash, only for Sergio Perez to bring out a late red flag when his cockpit filled with smoke. Antonelli also reported the car feeling unpredictable through Sector 2 on soft tyres.
Ferrari head into Saturday as the clear favourites for pole position, with Hamilton and Leclerc both looking comfortable and consistent across both compounds.

Kimi Antonelli put Mercedes back on top in Monaco FP3, setting the fastest time of 1:12.720s on softs — over three tenths clear of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who struggled with brake issues late in the session. Lewis Hamilton completed a Ferrari 2-3, with George Russell 4th in the second Mercedes.
McLaren confirmed they worked through the night breaking curfew to replace Lando Norris' wiring harness and ESME pack after he stopped in FP2 — Norris ended the session in P9.
Cadillac had a tough session — both Bottas and Perez suffered brake-related problems, continuing their difficult Monaco weekend.
The session was red-flagged after Oliver Bearman had a huge moment at Massenet and hit the wall, ending his session early.
Audi's Gabriel Bortoleto was an impressive P7, with Verstappen P5 and Piastri P6 rounding out the top 6.

🔴 F1 Live Monaco Qualifying
📅 Saturday, June 7 | 🕐 16:00 local / 14:00 UTC
Kimi Antonelli claimed his maiden Monaco pole position in a dramatic conclusion to Qualifying, beating Max Verstappen by just 0.043s with a lap of 1.12.051s. Lewis Hamilton took third for Ferrari, just over two tenths back.
It was a chaotic Q3 for home favourite Charles Leclerc — he aborted multiple runs, briefly went fastest, but then hit the wall on his final push lap and had to settle for fourth. Isack Hadjar was an impressive P5 for Red Bull, with George Russell P6 in a difficult session for the second Mercedes.
McLaren's Piastri and Norris ended up seventh and eighth, with Alpine's Gasly and Racing Bulls' Lawson rounding out the top 10.
Notable Q1 exits included both Haas drivers — Ocon in P17 and Bearman in P19 — along with Perez, Bottas, and both Aston Martins of Alonso and Stroll at the very back.
Bortoleto also had an early end after making contact with the barriers in Q1 and missing Q2 entirely.

Monaco GP 2026 – What to Watch For
Ferrari on home turf — Leclerc is a Monaco native and already led FP1. Expect Ferrari to be a genuine pole and race threat all weekend.
Hamilton vs Leclerc — Two Ferrari drivers fighting for the same pole position at the most prestigious circuit in F1. The intra-team dynamic will be fascinating to watch.
Verstappen's strategy — Red Bull looked strong in FP1 but Monaco rewards front-row starts above all else. If Verstappen qualifies outside the top two, strategy becomes his only route to victory.
McLaren's 1000th race — Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are racing at McLaren's milestone 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Woking outfit won here last year through Norris.
Post-FP1 investigations — Leclerc/Lawson and Lindblad/Piastri impeding incidents, plus Lawson for a pit lane red light infringement, could result in grid penalties heading into the weekend.
